"The Taming of the Shrew"

Posted by Becca Martin at 01:31 PM on September 10, 2007
From the ridiculous world of "Shoot Em Up" to the sublime: The Arts Center of the Ozarks production of "The Taming of the Shrew" is beautifully done, fast-paced, funny and a treat for the eyes.

I expected Beth Hall to be delightful as Katharine, the shrew who will not be tamed, and she did not disappoint. I knew less about the talents of Philip Adams, playing Petruchio.

Simply put, he is a HOOT! And the great supporting cast -- including Chris Hart as Gremio; John Crochet as Grumio; and Steve Drazsnzak as Vincentio --makes it all look easy.

If you're intimidated by Shakespeare, this is a great show to start with -- easy to understand, full of romantic uproar that never changes, no matter what the century!

The show continues Friday and Saturday evenings. Be there!
