Putnam County Spelling Bee

Posted by Becca Martin at 08:59 AM on September 12, 2007
Who knew Fayetteville had such good spellers?

Volunteers picked to join the cast of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" -- including Doug Walsh of Fayetteville Downtown Partners -- did themselves proud Tuesday evening. And the show was a lot of fun, too!

If you're looking for theater that doesn't fit the mold, check out this touring musical, which continues through Sunday evening at the Walton Arts Center. It's been a big hit on Broadway -- still playing, in fact -- and it's just fun, plain and simple.

Eric Roediger, whom I interviewed for our Morning News story, stole every scene he got a chance to. What a funny guy!
