Best Picture nominee Letters From Iwo Jima opened nationwide two weeks ago but hasn't made its way to Northwest Arkansas. I think Golden Globe winner Babel had a short run in December but left quickly (don't hold me to that), and Blood Diamond disappeared from local theaters last Friday. Surely these will all return within the next few weeks (and hopefully Malco, AMC and/or Carmike will care enough to bring Pan's Labyrinth to our area, too). After all, there are 67 screens in Benton and Washington counties — surely someone can find space for something other than The Hitcher.

The following nominees are already available on DVD:

• The Black Dahlia (Cinematography)
Cars (Animated Feature Film, Original Song)
Click (Makeup)
The Devil Wears Prada (Actress, Costume Design)
The Illusionist (Cinematography)
An Inconvenient Truth (Documentary Feature, Original Song)
Jesus Camp (Documentary Feature)
Little Miss Sunshine (Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress, Picture, Original Screenplay)
Monster House (Animated Feature Film)
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest (Art Direction, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Visual Effects)
Poseidon (Visual Effects)
Superman Returns (Visual Effects)
United 93 (Directing, Film Editing)
Water (Foreign Language Film)
West Bank Story (Live Action Short Film)
